Grace Upon Grace Upon Grace

14 And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth. 15(John testified to him and cried out, ‘This was he of whom I said, “He who comes after me ranks ahead of me because he was before me.” 6From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.

5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.(Jn 1)

The first chapter of John’s Gospel (actually the entire book of John) is, to me, the most revealing truth; the truth of God becoming flesh.  Walking the earth, in the skin of Jesus, bring good news to all the world.

6From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.

Try to unlock your too tight mind for a moment; and just sit with a child like imagination.

The imagination about a God who brought nothing but grace upon grace upon grace.

Grace is defined as God’s activity in our lives.

God moving within our ups and downs, our struggles and our joys — everyday.

What better news in our crazy conflicted world today? God with us through every situation, problem or conflicting thought.

A God who laughs with us and cries with us every living moment awake or asleep; promising to with us to the ends of the earth.

And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’(Mt. 28:2)
