Why Did The Messiah Of The World Come As An Innocent Baby?

Yesterday I left you with this:  The Messiah was a tiny child born in a barn!  What do you think the message is in that?

I was hoping that someone would respond to my wonder!  Surely  I am not the only one who has so many questions about this amazing story.

Why did the Messiah, of the whole world, come as a baby?

The most realistic answer is that everyone begins, comes into this world, as a baby.  That is how human life begins!  Right?  “Everybody loves a baby!”  Well, maybe not everybody!  Herod was not at all excited about this particular baby.  Most of the herods in the world, are not excited about this baby’s message.

What I was wondering, when I ask all of you, “what the message is” in sending the Messiah as a baby. Has much to do with the herods of the world.  And  many of the “religious leaders” of the world!  Or, anyone who takes a position of arrogant power and disrespectful rudeness.

Because Jesus came with a-brand-new-baby-way of being a leader.  He came with warmth and peace, and goodwill for all — all.  He came with a gentler agenda.  One that would model empathy and grace.  This model of leadership would emulate the importance of less.  Less winning and more sharing!  More compassion and less pushing and shoving!   Less authority and more mutual cooperation!  This brand-new-baby-way of leading would be very similar too the original design that God established at the beginning of time.  When all that was created was ‘very good!”  So that all things created lived in harmony.  For the good of all!

The baby Jesus came to bring:  “Tidings of great joy” to the whole of God’s creation.

That was the original plan designed by God.

The Christmas message will probably continue(;
